GO AHEAD, PAINT MY DAY
There is a hide-and-seek element to paintball that revolves around the excitement of potentially being found at any moment.  However, Paintball has taken that hide-and-seek element and (literally) grown the battlefield exponentially with forts and walls, some made of objects such as tires and barrels, to hide behind as you defend yourself with your gun ammunition, the paintballs. Many types of games are designed or adapted for the sport; the most common paintball game is Capture the Flag.

Although the paintballs can hurt at times, it doesn’t stop over ten million people around the world from playing this colorful sport, especially with the availability of protective gear to help soften the blows.  In fact, according to statistics, it is one of the safest sports in existence, with approximately one injury per every 4,000 players.  San Antonio has a number of venues and equipment shops available, such as Krossfire Paintballs, Paintball Mart, Proshop Paintball, and Green Acres Golf & Games.  Break into the playing field by getting a group of friends together and heading out for a game of paintball.  For more information on the sport, visit http://www.paintball.org.
