REVOLUTUTIONARIES WELCOME

The Revolution Room is two levels of futuristic fun. Tagged as a hangout for local attractive singles the weekends are the most packed nights. With a motto boasting "dance, dance, dance,” the Revolution Room is all about music, much unlike their nearby club counterparts. After all, the happening club did host this years SA Indie Fest which brought in independent artists from all over the nation. Happy hour drink specials are also available from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. every day and games including pool tables and dart boards make an outing after work for drinks a more enjoyable experience. The Revolution Room is located at 8132 Broadway. For more information, visit their Web site.

A DIFFERENT METRO

Metro, located on 229 E. Houston St., may cater to the swanky, posh crowd of San Antonio but it doesn't mean that it's not worth a visit. The basement lounge is a tad upscale but with Wednesday through Friday happy hour and live music on Wednesdays it's too good to pass up. The lounge also features 12 VIP areas; be sure to reserve them though they fill up quite quickly. As their MySpace suggest the lounge is "a little L.A., a little New York, a little Miami, and lots of class." Co-owner Luis Munoz, the mastermind behind the KENS' morning show "Great Day SA" hopes to make Metro a local celebrity hang out. With his connections, he just might. For more information, visit Metro's MySpace page.

ROCK BAR, BONDS ROCK BAR

With a name likes Bond's 007 Rock Bar you're in for a real surprise once you step into the place. The club is located on 450 Soledad St. and is two-stories full of rock star activities. As their Web site states, they are "the only downtown club that caters to sexy, hard rock, tattooed party animals." Live music is available every Friday and Saturday with all shows having a $5 cover and admittance is 21 years and over only, unless otherwise stated. The lineup for Saturday consists of Execeter, Circus Doll, NSP and One Eyed Doll. The club offers 32 oz. cold draft, a full bar with imports, big screens and pool tables. For more information, visit Bond's 007 Rock Bar's Web site.

SAINTLY NIGHT LIFE

If you're looking for great music, a good crowd and most importantly, great drink specials then The Saint, located on 1430 N. Main Ave., has you covered. Most places are jumping on the weekend but if you can't make it out because you work weekends then try Tuesdays at The Saint — which happens to be the best night to go. There may be a little wait in line but it’s well worth it. The Saint welcomes the open-minded person, crowds usually circle the pool table area or cheer on their friends and contestants who are competing in the amateur showgirls show. The amateur shows really get the crowd started and the winner of the show will receive a cash prize. Once the winner is chosen then the dance floor is yours. The DJ will play anything from house, mainstream, to cumbias. Don’t forget to drink responsibly and tip your bartenders. For more information, visit their Web site. -Tiffany Pena
